Door County - Autumn Pics

Family took a trip up to Door County last weekend. Did a corn maze, stopped at a local pizza joint for some of the best pizza I have ever had "Sonny's Pizza" in downtown Sturgeon Bay. We went up in a tower on the bay at Potowatomi State Park. Was a great view. Think we missed the main colors by a week or 2 .. still alot of color though ...

pic 1 and 2 are on the road in the park leading to the tower ... I really liked the 1st shot where the road splits for a short bit ..

pic 3 is a pano on top of the tower ... i messed up on the focal point and it didn't stitch together well in the 2nd or 3rd pic ...

Just back from DC myself and I'll post a few shots. I've been there a bunch of times but never to that park (plenty of time at the others though!). I can see I'll have to get there... Pretty hard to beat Lombardi's Pizza in NYC but I'll give it a shot.

never been to Lombardi's Pizza so I can't tell ya if it was better ... our local pizza joint changed their recipe and we are now on the look out for a new joint .. too bad Sonnys is so far away ...

the park is worth a stop just for the tower alone ... great view up there

i never camped at the park .. we did stay at a campground a bit north of there once a few years back ...
