Several photographers, can you find them?
I wonder how many took a photo of me, sneaking behind their subject and photographing them ...

    Re: Capture a Photographer

After catching my ospreys yesterday I wandered over to the pier in the park to look for sunset shots. While there I saw 2 weddings being worked, and 3 family beach portrait sessions. Most I ever saw in one day!

    Sand-proof (hopefully) camera totes:

The photographer seated the couple in the heart and shot it from ground level, but never came up to the pier to shot down on them. Would have been SO effective.....

This is the heart/rose petals couple. I truly hope the video is being shot by somebody's brother. One-handed handheld, other hand in your pocket????

And the last family group. I chatted briefly with this photographer. He came up to the pier for sunset, and we discussed the wedding photographer not doing the heart shot from above.

The sunset was actually pretty bland, too much low cloud. The sun disappeared behind them and the color faded instantly.

Bonus question: Is the silhouetted pelican flying towards or away???

I love casual photos and think your wedding shots, especially the one from above of the with the heart.
If you can find them, I bet they'd love it too.

    The pelican is flying toward.

Shooting our big Wilkeson Days parade. Did not make it to more of the festivities but thought about this thread when I saw this guy with his heavy camera equipment reaquiring the use of a monopod. Thought it a bit strange that he was always shooting the parade as it was moving AWAY from him.

    OK, you got it right....

I have the following in my bag from which you may select your Grand Prize:

Shutter release cable, the kind that screws in to the shutter button.
Tool for pulling film leader out of a rewound cassette.
Non-hotshoe flash bracket that screws into the camera's tripod socket.
PC cord for use with above. (No, you can't have both!)
Selenium cell light meter, with incident-light adapter.

(I may be digital electronic these days, but t'weren't always so!)

Well, I've changed my mind. You can't have ANY of that stuff! All you get is public recognition for being correct. Yay, Frog!

You called it "home." You're not completely converted to Kalifornian, then!

I knew it was wrong as soon as I posted and saw which wing was out of focus, but I couldn't find the edit button in the 0.04 seconds my attention span lasted. And "home" is where the humidity is less than 50%. :P

And I'll take your camera strap and any 58 mm caps you might have.

I think I win at "capture the photographer" here. This is Brian J. Nelson looking across the track at a corner marshal holding a Kodak P&S and thinking "what is that guy doing?"

Motortoad hasn't always been a Kalifornian. Go east. Very east. And south.

He was also rather vague in pointing out that he hisownself was the corner marshal with the Kodak POS, uh, I mean P&S.

It's hard to snap in Venice mid-summer without capturing a photographer! Here's a cute couple, and, well, an outfit appropriate to the hot weather!
