canon photo printers

i have somewhat of an inside track on canon photo printers..

a rep for the canon camera program told me at a conference a few weeks ago that canon is about to release professional quality archival printers to combat the monopoly epson has on the market... these printers should be out in the fall..

just thought some of you canon fans would like to hear that

Sorry - but - it was in the magazine American Photo that I got last week. They're coming out with something big, like 24" wide I believe. It will be interesting because like you say, Epson seems to have a monopoly on printers in this size and larger. HP has some like this too but I haven't heard anything about them.
