Is that Jean Harlow or Mae West ? what movie starlet is that on her leg ? that's a beautiful tattoo

Yeah, mine too - I have to study for a final tonight, but tomorrow night maybe I'll set up the tripod and see if I can not mess it up too badly!

Perfect timing Nat! I came in to work this morning and one of my wise-ass friends had taped ads for a tattoo parlor and the local "Tattoo Expo and Bike Rally" to my monitor. She hates tattoos and thinks they're "stupid" and that I'm stupid for loving them. (I have two and want more!) She also thinks I curse too much (I do) and has decided that I should be a trucker when I grow up. I love my friends.

    love hate

I've always had a love hate relationship with them--lol

I like the fairy I have (I created her) but I get sick of people's comments....and it was difficult for me when I got married because I didn't exactly look like the most conventional bride from the back... the dres I chose almost showcased the tattoo and several guests and people thought it would be "cool" to take pics of the bride and my tatt and send them to me so I ended up with a bunch of biker chick bride pics from my wedding ugh---whatever!---they meant well.

even with a tripod it wasn't easy---i finally propped it on my computer armoire and self timed it.... who thought of this dumb posting anyway!?

*smile* This is a great topic... I have a tattoo, but it's on my back and difficult to shoot... my boyfriend, Kev and I went and got tattoos... and no... we didn't get each other's names, or anything even remotely related, but I must thank Kev for funding my tattoo endeavor. When I see him later tonight, I'll have him picture it for me, so I can post it. Mine is just simple, I had the tattoo guy design it for me...
I could of course tell funnie stories about Kev's tattoo experience *mischievous smiles*, but I know he reads this site from time to time...

I am about two hours from Louisville. Not a bad drive up I 64. Last Saturday I spent the whole day moving my son and his wife to Louisville. She is a graduate assistant at Uof L and he is an architech working in Frankfort, KY. Louisville is nice city as cities go. Of course my little town of 3000 is more to my liking. If you come let me know my wife and I will have a built in place to stay with the son there and Louisville came be a fun place to shoot some pictures. Here is a picture from this weekends move. This son doesn't have any ink but my other son and his wife have multiples, but alas no images of them. The old coot is me and the young guy in the middle is my son the guy in red is his former college roomate and good friend.

Everyone has to have some feature

Everyone has to have some feature that is noteworthy. Age robbed me of most of mine, but the eyes stayed blue as the body exploded and the hair disappeared.

I will be waiting with bated breath! (And mild trepidation!)

Let me know if you and Larry can ever get down here. If we are in town, we can definitely put you up. (Five bedrooms-seven beds) Why pay for a Motel 6 when you've got PR family in town?

    Okay here we go!

Please forgive the glare from my horribly pale skin. And the odd angle. And the fuzziness (of the photos...my back is not fuzzy - I swear!)

1st one is on my lower back (right side). Got it when I was 18, I believe the conversation with my parents went something along the lines of "I'm going to get a tattoo" "No, you are not" "Okay, see you later." But they're used to it - out of four kids only one doesn't have a tattoo - the eldest "perfect" child. My mother is the only other one in the family without one, since my dad has the Navy special - his name on his arm.

2nd one is on my left shoulder - that one was done in 2003.
