    Thanks Jet A!

    That's actually one of the few shots I had planned on getting even before making it to the field. I got a similar one last year that worked and so I wandered the field looking for a balloon that was tied up in a way I could get the rope in the shot with a smaller group of people all looking up as the burner fired. This was one of the best results I got.

    The great thing about that cold rally was that all of the light reflected off the snow during the balloon glow. Made for some really interesting conditions but very cold too. It happens every year in Hudson WI (near Minneapolis). I have only been to it that one time, and almost didn't go because they only got snow a couple of days earlier.

    Sounds like you could have gotten some really interesting lighting conditions.
