anyone going to take pics of Venus and Jupiter

We saw this a few weeks ago here....it was on the news, the girls and I watched for it, but no photos.

Here's a preview:

FYI, Venus is the brighter "star" in the bottom middle of the frame. Jupiter is the other bright "star" on the lower right of the frame.

Here's my attempt not sure if I did them right, I've only had my SLR for about 2 weeks now. I have lots to learn with all the new setting & lens. I'm really not to sure what setting I used :lol: but, I know I used to different lens

Thank you very much, I've been trying to get that shot for years now . A good camera and tripod sure make a big difference.
