Fun fun pics Ali. That last one is a real killed. I do think she is following in her sister's footsteps. I do love it when you get the 50 out and come out to play.

Here are a couple of my grandson Wesley that were taken across the table in a dimly lighted restaurant with the 50mm f1.8.

From my cousin's wedding, I wasn't the official, but I stuck the sidelines and managed to squeeze off some great shots.

    Re: Another 50mm f1.8 Thread

    Thanks OT.
Yeah I love her eyes too. They are so dark you can't see the pupil!

I'm not sure my kids realise how lucky they are.
Their sister paints their faces ALL the time when she is here. Something that many children only get when they go to fair's/fete's. And then you have to pay a fortune for each child to have it done.

AND on top of that, my kids get a lovely portrait as a keepsake.

Having said that, I'm a lucky Mum to have so many beautiful willing models

Looks like this thread could use a bump...here's a few photos of Stephanie, one of our newest church members. She came over the house to help my wife with a project tonight and she let me take a few snaps on the fly.

XTi in manual mode, f/6.3 @ 1/80th, Alien Bee B800 with Octabox. I should have opened the lens a bit more as I had to up the brightness a little in my RAW converter.

    Re: Another 50mm f1.8 Thread

The 50 f1.8 and it's various cousins are wonderful for so many kinds of photography. I used mine last month to do a ton of available light shots at a wedding. Hope some more people will help revive this old thread with their 50mm shots.
