all I want for (next) Christmas...

is a new Jeep Rescue, a new Jeep Rescue, yes a new Jeep Rescue!

Attended the L.A. auto show Saturday and got a peek at Jeep's concept vehicle. Cummins turbo diesel 325hp and nearly 600 pounds of torque. Tires can inflate or deflate from the cab, 3-D topo mapping and navigational software, and more! I felt like Tim the Toolman when I saw it, "awr, awr, awr, awr."

    Re: a few more...

Last one reminds me of "Beam me up Scottie".

They are some really nice machines, probably never make it down under at a price I could afford.

You know in Australia people are purchasing at 1 in 4, a 4 wheel drive. Majority of them, and I mean like 95% don't ever go off road at all, total waste of a good 4 wheel drive.

    I think I know what's on Sebastian's list too.

Peter, I'd say that a bigger ratio are buying them here, and a smaller ratio are actually using them off road! Had one, and only one time in four years 4wd saved me from getting stuck. I don't miss it, the MPG, repair bills...

Never been to an autoshow, there's a big one in Chicago I'll have to get to. I think they had the Ford GT40 last year.

    Re: Well Ray....

I was going to go to the Auto Show in Chicago one year while in high school. The night before the tirp, we got about a foot of snow, and the driver backed out... thanks for bring up those feelings of great dissapointment again!
