He used to build Hubble cameras and other military things. This camera was built from spare parts using surplus 9-inch-by-18-inch spy film (yes, film, not digital).

Personnally, I want to see true color images of the Milky Way. I hope he gets his observatory open soon. If he helped design the Hubble, I wonder what kind of telescope he uses. :-O
