    beginner studio lighting question

    Hi,

I don't know anything about studio lighting. But I want to start getting into it and learn.

So today I bought a silver umbrella and one of those lamps you clip onto the umbrella stand. I think now I'll be able to do some still-life setups on a table.

What other applications will I be able to use this for, and what else might I need to go along with it?

A light meter and some foam core reflectors and just have fun. People aren't so bad to shoot either.
