Whats the keeper photo from this baseball game?

I really don't have to shoot baseball anymore because I have all the boring stock pitcher / hitter type shots I need but I see those all over the place.

Today I focused more on the action in the game. I'm still learning the game and had to deal with shooting with my 300 f4 so I had to shoot at iso 3200-6400 with the 7D.

Whats the cool keeper for the portfolio in this set?

2 This SS error was with a man on 3rd base so it ended up a run.

Number 6, stealing, was my favorite. #1 is pretty good, but it's just a hair too busy. Little flare, the bat is a little across the pitchers face, just a bit too much distraction. Almost great.. ;)

The error is pretty entertaining (2 & 3), safe to say he took his eye off the ball.. ;)

Good stuff.. 'tis the season for baseball! I've got my first game coming up on Sunday.. To play, rather than photograph... Old guys league.. Not quite like these young guns...

Gotta agree with NoKnees. The one of the runner stealing is my favorite, next would probably #4, but since the ball is hard to see, makes it the runner up. Darn those fast SS

I hate to be a copycat but #6 grabbed my attention immediately.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Yeah 4 and 6 for me too.
Why do you strip out the EXIF information?
I'm interested in the noise performance of the 7D, and it would have been handy.

I'm not sure why the exif data is not present. I injest with photo mechanic, edit in camera raw / convert to jpeg, then resize/watermark in photo mechanic. I guess something in the chain takes it out. I usually click the reserve exif data box in PM.

    BUT
    #4 is at iso 3200 f/4 500/sec
    #6 is at iso 5000 f/4 800/sec

#5 is the same settings as #6

I used the NR in camera raw 6.3 to reduce the noise.

I am leaning towards 6 but 5 would have been cool during the day with a fast SS and the ball closer to the glove.

I will go with 6,4,5. On five I like this shot and think that has a little extra touch to it because the name on the bat is turned just right for the picture, Jeff

That first one is a winner for me. I *like* how busy it is. It keeps me coming back for more and sets it apart from the standard clean sports shot that only shows the obvious.

I like 4. Something draws me to one though and the last one says it all. I appreciate that one a lot.

Me too - #6 - the others of the pitchers are pretty comical though
