    There was Sun!!!

Finally I went on a tour on a sunny day! This was a little over 1 week ago and it was really cold. It was around 1 degree. But the sun was shining and the snow was really nice.

This one I needed to crop a lot. I guess my fingers were not zooming that morning.

Very, very nice! Love that skier shot with the exploding snow! I'd crop it tighter, I think the skier is too centered. I'm guessing you don't want to give up all the cold smoke blowing up in the background. But just try cropping so that the skier is over in the right half of the photo. I think it's a lot stronger that way. Looks like your snow was way better than what we got yesterday. It had a bit of sun crust in places. It was still fun, though

The first one jumps out as the best, but with the suggested recrop, #2 would be pretty sweet too.. Great conditions, great compositions, "wish I were there!".

I will mess with these tonight and try some re-crops. On the first one I really didn't want to give up any of that smoke trail. #2 is just cropped way too much as it is. Looking at these I was thinking WTF? I guess my fingers were frozen They were both at about 35mm. I was shooting with my 24-70.
