I'm suprised that no one has started to post baseball yet. So i guess I'll get us started. Here are a couple from a game yesterday afternoon.

    Not bad OT!
    Both of them!
They both have the right amount of depth of field and show some good action.
The second photograph though, the guy in the foreground is quite distracting and takes away from the real action.

Boy you were right on top of that Brian. I was a little undecided on the runner but went with the frame with him in it because it told the story of the double play. Thanks for responding.

    No Problem OT!
I think this second one is much better than the first.
    Keep at it!

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with the runner being distracting. I think it tells the story of the double play much better than if the player was cropped out. It's an awesome shot the way it is.

That shot may have been better if I was a little wider and shown a little more of the runner to first. but I was already dialed into second anticipating a play there and the runner entered the frame just as the fielder was making the play.

Thanks Jared. We all goof up don't we. Here is one where the runner really did messup the shot. I was trying to highlight the attempted catch but the runer got in the was. I had the D70 set for continuous focus closes object. When the runner moved into the frame the camera adjusted to him and left the fielders very soft and out of focus. Cna't win them all.
