BAR had an outer cover on the brake disc, which meant there was no glow visible.
It might have been in defence against the -3C pit lane temperature in the morning !
But I think just reducing the air intake size would decrease cooling enough to maintain effective temperature.
So there muse be something else going on here, to get an advantage from this.
