Nice photo pity about the front being cropped off, normally the problem is you can't get close enough for a good shot - not that you got too close and couldn't get it all in
I'm a sucker for shots in the rain, if you can show the water spray and get a reflection off the track and their faces - that's the jackpot for me
I'm not sure who is maddest, the driver or the passenger.
On balance I'd say the poor passenger has most work to do, and is more likely to suffer in an incident.
Balls of steel I reckon.
Doubt I'd last two corners, let alone a lap!
I actually was only about 50' away from the track. The infield area at Summit Point is fantastic for photographers. Most areas are right along side the runoff area and the fence is low enough in most places to shoot over.
The chopped nose is my fault entirely. I was trying to catch another group of sidecars battling behind this one, and jumped over to pan on him when the others were blocked by a marshall tower. I was zoomed in too close! He's moving about 55-60 mph here, so didn't have much time to adjust.
The reflection is what made this shot for me too!
Funny enough, on the longer bikes, the driver will get trapped in the cockpit if it flips. The passenger "only" gets thrown. My better half is a passenger
Here's a couple more from that weekend. (I could bore you all day with these....)
