    Petit Le Mans

Missed the big night action, unfortunately, because I was at the end of the long straight and the only accident happened in turn 1.

    Nice shots.

We shall see what happens on our side of the pond in 2014 when they blend the ALMS series and Grand-Am together. I know everyone hates change but if it keeps roadracing alivein the USA then I'm all
    for it.

Petit Le Mans is confirmed under the new organisation.
And the schedule for 2013 was announced at this year's race.
I hope they keep internet streaming video of the races, so I can follow when I'm back in the UK.

Good stuff, as usual, Paul! I assume these were shot with the OM-D? How have you altered your technique with the OM-D? Are you using continuous AF or do you have to pre-focus everything now? Besides the size and weight, have you discovered any surprise benefits to shooting racing with the OM-D?

    Re: Petit Le Mans

What still amazes me is the low light performance.
Nothing else besides the size and weight.
Response time to on-track incidents is way too slow, and AF just doesn't in many cases.
I have read comments elsewhere that the Panasonic 100-300 is not well suited to the E-M5.
I'm still persevering with continuous AF, and finding that pre-focussing with single AF is too restrictive.
But even with shutter priority turned Off in CAF and SAF modes, I still get complete failures to focus.

I personally find the pictures a little dark in color. For the rest not much to criticize.
