Drift practice... and practice for me too.

I was invited by a drift race team to come and shoot their practice. They along with a bunch of other teams rented a track for some lap time to fine tune their skills between race events. Some of these guys are pro's on the circuit and others were out there for their first time.

Overcast skies and the threat of rain all day made for some interesting lighting situations. Never completely dark but never really bright either.

Here's my top 5 for the day (the last shot is my favourite of them all. You know you're going fast when you don't hit the wall and parts still fly off):

I gotta check this forum more.

Awesome shots. Drifting looks like a heck of a lot of fun to watch.

    #1 is classic
#2: the front car a chase car? I like the contrast here between normal driving and insanity
#3: again, classic, good action, love the banner. "own the corners"
#4: The intercooler makes it look like the car's grinning...brilliant.
#5: Brilliant, needs more zip ties.

Great shots! Looks like so much fin. The Buell sign in the background is hysterical, those bikes are like boat anchors!
