    Friday night football

    Some snaps from last night. Canon 300 2.8L at ISO 800 aperture priority, Canon 550EX speedlight at ETTL with no compensation.

    If you have to use flash this is how you do it. Nice work fidgety. How do you avoied red eye?

    I'm with ot. I would love flash advice. I just used flash for the first time for football and didn't like the results too much.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

    I use a Canon 40D body and a Canon 550EX speedlight. I generally shoot at ISO 800, aperture priority of 2.8 and set the flash at ETTL with no exposure compensation. However, if the team I'm shooting is at the far hash mark or if I'm way up the field I may go anywhere from one-half to one full stop over exposure on the flash. The shots posted here were at normal flash exposure.
