Welcome to the forum Tin-Cup. Were was this picture taken? This image seems a little too busy for me. Too much background (leaves and trees) and not enough subject, but over all I like it.

Welcome. I like the light, too, but as the other poster said, the nice light and the background kind of overwhelm the monkey, who by compirson takes up only a small part of the frame and is a touch blurry.

    Welcome Tin Cup. Nice work.
I like the limb lighting on the monk and think it sets it off from the background OK. I think a levels adjustment gives some darker values to set off that great light coming through the leaves and a vertical crop removes a lot of the backround distraction from the main subject.

I don't think the background'd be too busy if the lighting were different. The currently lighting throws a lotta white and light colors on parts of the leaves, sorta detracting from the lightly-colored monkey. You'd be able to go with a simliar composition to your original if he/she was a monkey amid of darker greens. I dunno if it'd make it better or worse, but I wonder what a little bit of fill flash from your camera would make the shot look like. Cool little monkey.

Umm, no, actually I just bought a Lexar card reader because I happened across it at Mal-Wart before I could return the other one. So I plugged it in, my computer crashed, and I lost about 10 images off my card to corruption. I'm back to using my camera for transfers.

    Welcome Tin-Cup,
I like what chunk has done to the pic with his crop and levels adj. I would just loosen the crop a bit as I think it's tighter thasn need be. I too dig your avatar. Looking forward to more.
