    New Self Portrait thread

As I'm coming up on the anniversary of my crowning, the time has come to consider passing the tiara on to a hopeful contestant. While I didn't achieve world peace, I did get all the old panelling down in my house.

    Who's up for it?

I have been the unofficial self portraitist for quite sometime now I would say, but I think you are still the reigning queen my dear.

The county has been re-doing their ID cards. Their camera produces an awful green color cast, so I was appointed the official health department photographer. So folks came to me, and I took their photo with the Coolpix 5700. When we got a list together of who didn't have their photo taken, I realized my photo hadn't been taken. So I brought in my tripod and took a self portrait. Nothing special about it, but it is a new one....

Funny thing about that shirt. It's actually brand new, I got it like that. I have two, that one's red and says CocaCola, the other is green and says Sprite.

I protest!! She didn't say "New Self Portraits King" she said "Self Portraits King." So that includes old ones. So there

Well, I don't have any "self" portraits, but my granddaughter took one of the best pictures ever of me last month while we were on vacation. I hope you like it...it's one of the only pictures I've ever liked of me.

This is more like a self-band portrait. (I'm the one in the middle)

Ken, that belongs on a different thread I think ... wasn't there a thread awhile back where we took "self-portraits" that didn't actually show "us" in all completeness? That was a very cool thread.

That picture, calling it a "self-portrait", is very interesting.

Hey, it's all about quantity, not quality

And I happen to like yours, even without that cute red hair!

hahahaha Kelly, I didn't know about the other post...but...my granddaughter tried so hard trying to catch me in the air doing a cannonball that I thought this would be a good shot and since I hate any picture of me ever taken...even when I was small, I thought it would be fun to post it here...

Also, GO ALMO...I think Adina should send you her tiara so we could see you in it. hahahaha

I never do self portraits. But I hate to let a thread like this go by. So just for fun and with a Sony Mavica 1.5 mg I think and little PS here I am. Oh I am not in the tiara contest!

    Re: New Self Portrait thread

Alright, may as well throw in my submission. There's another person in the photo with me. The story behind is, Connie (the girl) and I were working on some videos for PYPS Spring Fellowship, the title being "The Love Boat: Staying afloat in the relationship game" So we were doing an introduction video using the love boat theme song, where one of the lines is "An Open Smile, on a Friendly Shore) well we needed a shot of an open smile, and here it is.

Oops! Looks like I'm letting the contenders catch up! Here's another "oldie but goodie." Don't worry, I'll post a new one before the game is over (I'm getting uglier as I get older so I am not photo fodder like I used to be. Aw, who am I kidding I'm still spectacular!)

Well, since I was responsible for the last big SP thread, I have no choice but to participate here. I can't decide what the title of this might be... me giving my "sad" eyes. And to think I decided not to pursue acting!
I absolutely hate images of myself. It's not an "I hate the way I look" thing, nor is it a camera-shy thing. It's like when you hear your own voice on a recording.
I just feel a hundred times more comfortable behind the lens. But then, don't we all?
