BTW, that buttonbush stuff is great! Love how you composed it, with the smooth BG and framed it with the leaves.

I was actually quite surpirsed by how well that came out. There is a vertical shot too that I like even better... Oh hell here it is...

Thanks mdmc! This ain't no competition (I'm from Georgia ). I find it interesting to see how different people view similar subjects, and find inspiration in these different views. That's why this is becoming my favorite forum.

Emily, I have never seen closeup work from you, nice detail you captured there.

Also, one of my favorite subjects. Good choice, Almo.

Here are a couple I took recently on 35mm Tri-X, scanned by my Canoscan 8400.

Fronds at the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and
flowering Red Tip Photinia in my back yard.

I'll get back later with some new digital stuff.

Sure it does darlin'! It's up to you to interpret the meaning of the subject for yourself.

Personaly I really like that image. Great contrast between the B&W and the color.

That last one is kind of neat isn't it. It the center pod of a poppy after all the petals have fallen off. I shoot all jpeg. Number 1 and #4 are out of my Fuji S602Z and only 3.1 mp. I was real happy with them I shot them for Ricks 24 hour thread over on viewfinder. I hadn't used the Fuji for about 2 years and just pulled it out to carry with me for that thread.

Wow, these are all great! Such colors, angles, vantage points, and some stuff I've never seen before. Great detail and sharpness too.

Hey, Payn, I don't recall seeing some of these image recently. They must be new? Love the non-traditional close-ups!

I don't have anything new to add. Gotta go out and come up with some new images
