I love the juxtaposition of the Plant and the plants, and the word play is great!

I agree with John (Almo) - I love the live plants with the Plant in the background. The lighting is great.....perfect time of day.

Excellent work - creative. Good eye!

    John / Liz,

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm glad you like it. I had a little trouble getting everything sharp because the flowers where being blown around, but what are you gonna do?

A good shot though, despite the awful pun.
You pushed the plantlife title to the limit.

I have only recently tried my hand at such shots. The results are not terribly good, but here are a few of them anyway:

These last four were all taken at Walt Disney World, during the annual Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

My Partner and I are not gardeners by nature and for the most part, watching the man sit on his tractor to mow the lawns is as close as we want to get. However, out side the cottage door is a rose trellis and today, the roses started to display.

    They are all the same rose, but there are more opening soon, stay tuned {smiles}

I went to see my daughter do a solo belly dance today, in some gardens.
They had some beautiful trees there.

(Nothing to do with plant life but I thought you might like to see a photograph of my daughter doing her Belly Dance

Anyway, I figured most people would post "pretty" images so, to be always different, I thought I'd go shoot some "ugly" ones. Here are some.

Oh the luxury of still having Grand Parents around, or even to have parents... Sigh.. Treasure them, they don't last forever.

I really like the reverse perspective shot, looking up from beneath the rose. It's an unusual perspective that not many would think to shoot, but it turned into a photo that showcases the beauty of the flower from whole 'nother direction.

    Thank you so much Payn.
It's Pea Season right now in the UK and my hubby eats them, raw, by the lorry load lol.
I had a "Eurika Moment" this afternoon.
I was standing in my kitchen and shouted out loud "PEAS! Peas are plant life!" Ran upstairs grabbed my camera and a sheet of white A4 paper and used my settings for a natural lighting shot.
I was pretty happy with my results from today.
And all taken with my little beauty of a lens...my 50mm 1.8 mkII
    I love that lens!!!

Hey Loupey, I like your "ugly" plants. Don't think they're ugly at all. I like the second and last the best. Nice shapes in all of them. I bet they would work well in B&W.

Sorry I beat you to the plant idea. I was in a hurry, because I thought someone else might think of it.

No problem, Paul. Your "plantlife" shots are better than what I was going to post anyway (mostly just people working at machines )

    Here are some more "uglies"
