I bought an IIYAMA crt about 3 years ago because everybody said that LCD screens did not have the colour accuracy, contrast etc. to be suitable for photo editing. My crt and my printer are about matched - when I make a print it looks about the same as what I saw on-screen. However if I post the image on Internet and I look at it on the screen of my business laptop at my client site the result is quite different. The blacks have all gone grey and generally the contrast is washed-out.

The IIYAMA LCD screen you mention looks like it's optimsed for videos. I don't see any mention of the possibility to calibrate it.
