    Re: Where They Meet

If the title is referring to where the two patterns meet then I think that area should be sharp.
This whole image is a bit soft throughout. Very shallow DOF.
    I like the idea.

Thanks Ed. Title was just something I put up there, I know I should probably take the title a little more seriously, but eh. I have a recurring theme of everything being soft, I need to figure out how to make things sharper.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I appreciate it.

I still have to wonder if you're trying to get closer then your lens will allow you to. Also, f8 is probably going to be your sharpest aperture. Your going to lose the shallow dof, but you'll gain IQ. I see your arsenal is growing...I'd encourage you to consider a 50mm 1.8 for your next piece of glass.

    Re: Where They Meet

It's going to be, once I get the funds to do it ;p Gotta love being a poor college kid. Just got a set of extension tubes, so glass is on the next shopping list. Was seriously considering getting the 50 instead of the tubes, but I wanted tubes more.

Thanks for taking the time to respond n8, I really do appreciate it.
