I don't thinnk they compete at all. My only thoughts are that I would like to see the couple just a fraction further into shot, and I was wondering whether you could trim a touch off the bottom as well.

That's just a personal preference though, its a good shot.

    Regards,

    matt

Beautiful shot. The subjects don't compete at all and I just love this shot. Great colors and a beautiful subject. Compositionally it's perfect in my opinion. I even love how the water fades into the sky and you can't see the horizon line.

    Great shot,

    Jared

They do not compete at all as far as I am concerned. This is a striking photograph. Very well seen.

Thank you for the kind words...

I happened to be able to view some of my images on a friend's pc yesterday and discovered a good bit of difference compared to what I thought I had conveyed. I need to learn more about calibrating monitors ...I work on a flat screen and it may not be best suited for PS work.

    Mud,

That is excellent -- high key yet nicely exposed. For me, I like how the negative space is a very important element in the design. The horizon is barely visible. I wonder what it would look like with no horizon or with a more pronounced horizon. But that's just curiosity... I think the image is just great the way it is.
