    Lloyds/Swiss Re (the Gherkin)

Thought I'd put up a couple more shots I took from my long walk around London at the weekend. Neither is going to set the world alight, but I thought they came out ok.

The first is a fairly abstract looking detail from the much photographed Lloyds Building. The second is the new Swiss Re building (nicknamed the 'Erotic Gherkin' by most Londoners), as reflected in the windows of the Lloyds Building. If you have any thoughts at all please let me know.

    Cheers,

    matt

    Hi Matt,
The first shot depicts the structure of the building as an art. Thats a very good idea. I find the composition a bit bland. Wish to see more at different angles.

Yoyo hit it on the head describing it as art. Nice patterns and great use of black and white!

    Lovely shooting,

Very nice patterns in the first one. I think Yoyo is right. Maybe try tilting the camera, or taking it from a different angle. It definately has potential.

Matt, I really like the first shot for the patters in it. Had you not said it was a building, I don't think I would have known what it was. That is not a bad thing tho. Abstract is not my thing, but something about this shot makes me want to keep looking at it. I like the placement of the reflection in the second shot, but the whole image looks tilted to me.
