Trying Again !! Please comment !!

I have another 2 photo's of a elephant and a few " blou wilde beeste "( Sorry for using the Afrikaans term but i don't know the english name )
I would like to know in terms of the composition and framing of these shots , is the composition better ? Where are the areas that i must still work on .

Thanks for your patience with me !!

    Greetings

If the elephant was turned around, that would be pretty good composition. The Wilde Beasts(?) Might have been better executed if the large bush wasn't blocking them, and if they had their heads up or were doing something other than grazing. Grazing animals are always boring =D

Keep shooting, you've got access to animals and locations I could only dream of. Keep shooting, and get books, maybe start with John Shaws "Nature Photography" or "Closeups in Nature".

And, look at other photos from other photographers. See what you like, and then reverse engineer what they did. Think "how could I recreate this".

Hey, cool that your what seems to be so close to these great animals. I agree with much of what Sean already said. The shot of the elephant is nicley framed but I think you should have caught the other end of this elephant :0
Also, these images appear a bit fuzzy or washed, they dont have much clarity or sharpness. Could be a scanning thing?

if you were standing more to the right just 30 seconds before the elephant reached the tree and keeping the tree in frame, that would have made a better composition to me as you would see the elephant more side on. Also some more colour saturation

    Thanks again Gary

I know the backside of the elephant is not the greatest view , i just wanted to find out about the composition and framing
    I think he was a bit " camera shy ! "

This is really a great website to learn from !
