    Sunflowers - PinHolga...

I am not much on flowers, but there is this patch of sunflowers on my drive to work that has interested me for sometime. So on Friday I went and photographed them, with my PinHolga.
The f/stop of the camera is somewhere in the neighborhood of f/200. It was kind of windy and the exposure was was about four seconds.
    What do you think?

    Re: Sunflowers - PinHolga...

    Hi Brian,

I like this. This is obviously more of an artistic critique than technical, due to the Holga, so what I have to say is purely opinion. I think because of the big white streak across the lower middle, it should stay as a smaller image, but as such, it is cool. If the streak were less prominant, a larger image would work. The blur and the composition are good. Kinda makes me feel a bit intoxicated.

I've only recently learned about Holgas, due to this site, but I don't know what a "PinHolga" is. Can you explain?

    Thanks,
    Paul

    To answer your question Paul.
A PinHolga is a modified Holga that where the lens is, is a thin piece of metal with a pinhole.
You can check out www.holgamods.com, to see what one looks like.
He also does one that is both a Holga and PinHolga.
    Thanks for commenting!

Beautiful sweeps of motion in this picture. I could almost tell it was a windy day before I read your post. Cool shot. VERY artsy.

Brian, this certainly captured the wind blowing through the flowers and with the pinhole/holga effect, I feel like it could be an image of a childhood memory. This is working.

    Oooooooooooooooh, you got a PinHolga!

I'm jealous. I love the vivid color and the motion... the streak (gah, that temperamental Holga) is a little distracting. Can' wait to see more though.....

I owe you some scans from my Holgaroid, don't I?

Looks like a summer, lazy day dream....

I sort of expect the Wizard of Oz to appear any minute.

    Good job.

Fantastic capture, well spotted. I like the sweeps of motion in this picture. The timing is great and beautiful colour. Very artistic!
