Shoes For New Orleans - PinHolga

I happen to work at a place where evacuees from New Orleans are being housed.
The building next to the one I work in is a clothing issue point, and in between the two building the have put putting out shoes for the people to select from. There are hundreds of pairs of shoes, and are lined up by size.
So I brought my PinHolga with me and took a few photographs.
These are not the first PinHolga photographs I have done, but they are most successful.
I'd love to hear what you have to think about this photograph.
    Thanks,
    Brian

Brian, I must say that I am not found of this one. Technically speaking, this is very succesful. It looks great for a pinhole photograph. However, your subject/composition simply do not hold my interest.

I agree. I think the only reason I'm interested in this shot is because I donated a whole bunch of shoes to the relief effort, and I'm interested to see what kinds of shoes other people donated.

This is not bad, but not powerful either. The subject certainly is, and it's interesting to see the effect of the pinhole/holga. It makes it seem like an image in someones memory, which might make this shot a very powerful one years from now when New Orleans is built up again and people talk about the devastation of Katrina in a historical sense.

    You're getting it Gary!
Part of my Holga thing has to do with dreams and or memories, so that was what I was going for.

Put this way, I do have a better appreciation of your picture. The dreams theme is something I have perceived in your recent pool shot but I missed it here. My opinion on the composition of this shot doesn't change though.
