    Stumped! A moment in time.

The moment it dawns on you... I've taken the wicket, made the play, whatever you want to call it.

This chap, Gary Geise (an Australian cricketer), has deflected the ball onto the stumps and, as a result, claimed the wicket of one of his opponents.

In baseball, this is like getting the ball to the base before the runner can get there.

I like the way the bails (those two little wooden bits) have just popped up off the stumps (the three long wooden bits). You may or may not agree with me!

    Gmen,
Not knowing anything about the game of Cricket, it is difficult for me to understand what is happening in this shot or the significance of it. Someone familiar with the game may get an immediate emotion from it. However, as for the image itself, I think the exposure is right on, the dof is excellent, the image is sharp and vivd and the pegs in mid air makes an interesting shot even for someone "Cricket Challenged" as myself. Good Show, Mate!

It's a good action shot regardless of what sport it is. Very clear and sharp, perhaps I'd like it even more if I knew anything about the sport beyond the fact that they use flat bats.

    Interesting...

    I am with Gary.
I like the image, but it seems to be telling an incomplete story, regardless if you know anything about Cricket.
I am drawn in, mostly because I want to know more. But my interest soon fades because I can't figure out what is going on.
But I go back to the image, trying to figure what the #$@* he is doing.
    I really enjoy your stuff!
    Thanks for posting!
