    Street Reflections

The car is what originaly captured my interest...then it was the reflected street.
Here is what I came up with. What do you think?

I like where your going with it, im also into shooting cars, some people hate reflections and some say they add to the picture, imo a reflection adds to the pic if it fits the picture. good job though do you have the pic in color?

    Re: Street Reflections

    Hi PT,

Very nice photographs. Being a color person, I have to say that these look very handsome in B&W. I think color would be detractor here.Good eye for picking out this B&W subject.

The first one grabs me more than the second. I think it works stronger in profile.

Is this a crop? For some reason, I think including the entire front wheel may help complete the image (and then maybe not). Regardless, it's a very strong image.

    Good shooting,
    Tim

Shawn - No color, sorry. I shot this on Ilford HP5. Glad you like the reflection. I agree with you that reflections are not always a good thing, but this one just seemed to fit.

Tim - I'm glad you like the B&W. I was wondering which one was stronger and after coming back to them I have to agree that the second has a nice combo of reflection and profile.
It is a bit of a crop, but from the top. I just took a little of the top to make the car fill the frame more. I was thinking the same about the front wheel and grill, but then I would of captured too much asphalt in my opinion.

As I was taking the picture some lowriding bikes rode by and I try to grab a photo of them.
They then turned around and asked if I wanted to take a photo of them...so I clicked off one photo...I totally blew it (why didn't I capture more bike ) but it started a whole day of street photography. I love when stuff like this happens - even if I don't get the shot!

    Cheers.

Nice crop on your first one and the focus on the reflection is nicely done.
