Not bad, Todd. I think a little more light on the Strawberry may help.

    Dear Todd,

An interesting concept, so keep working at it. It has already been mentioned, but I will just repeat it, more light. I also just thought that with this kind of photo, a white background would work really well. This would not only lighten the scene visually, but would show off the colors of the strawberry, and whatever liquid you are using. This kind of photo is a really good chance to emphasize color. A great idea, but keep working.

Drew..i will try the white background, i just thought the black might of looked better with the red strawberry, but you might be right...thanks for the critique

I won't bother repeating what others have said. I just want to point out the yellowish cast of the images. It doesn't necessarily ruin them, but it does beg the question of wether or not it was intentional.

hey almo the yellowish casting might be caused by the light i used...you think that would cause this? where would you place thre light source when capturing like this? i placed it to the side since i only had one light. i will post more of these shots as i get better.

The angle of the light seems fine to me. The white balence would control the overall tone in a digital image.
