    Snowy Walking Bridge...

Okay...last upload for the day for me since I don't want to exceed 5 per day. I will hold up my end of the bargain and continue with my reviews too. This shot was taken with the Nikon D70 and is of one of my favorite walking bridges in Roger Williams Park, Providence.

I am going to try to capture this bridge in all four seasons this year. I actually got one of it during last autumn as well, so I thought it would be nice to bring them all together later.

Thanks for any feedback on this.

    Re: Snowy Walking Bridge...

    hello Nate and Welcome.
I think this is possibly my favourite of the ones you have posted so far. Nice wintery/Christmas card look to it without making me feel too cold.

Can I change the subject for a moment. Back in the seventies I lived on a boat for a number of weeks in a village/seaside resort called Nazerath but I cannot remember whether that was in Rhode Island or Long Island. I remember, on arrival, getting off the train from NY at a station called Kingston if I remember properly. Do you know this place?

    Hi Tom:

Thanks for the look at the photo. There IS a Kingston, Rhode Island and there is a train station there (AMTRAK). It's in southern Rhode Island near URI. Now, I have heard of a place called Nazareth but I think it's a village, not a city or town so it's hard to find on a map. There's a Jerusalem and a Galilee, so it stands to reason that there's probably a Nazareth too around there. I'll see what I can dig up around here. So you lived on a boat? Sounds interesting! RI is such a small state that it only takes about 40 minutes to get from north to south driving and I LOVE driving south to the ocean.

Yes indeed there was a Jerusalem and Gallilee up the road but I did not visit there.
    Thanks for that Nate

    Re: Snowy Walking Bridge...

Interesting, but I think a tighter crop on the bridge would help this alot. The picture right now seems to busy, and the frame of the bridge almost blends into the background, which I find a tad hard to follow. Also, there's some falling snow in the centre which is blurry and distracts from the subject of the bridge.

Good shot and it's just my two cents,

    Jared

This is also my favorite of your posts from today. I like the warm winter time feel that this image brings to me. I don't mind the composition, or the busy background. The falling snow makes the image a little blury, but for me, it seems to add to the warmth of the picture.
