boston univ. bridge, series in B&W

I have decided to start a study of some of the bridges in and around the Boston area. This one, the Boston University bridge, is the second one at which I've taken a closer look. The idea behind this shoot from yesterday evening was to make a first pass, capture the bridge from different angles, trying to find its "personality". I'll try a second pass to capture another set sometime soon.

I would like to get some feedback on this initial set.....

That's the bridge with "Yankees S*ck" painted across one side, is it not?

Anyways, nice angles, I really like the last one. The inclusion of the second bridge creates a nice line intersection at the top right of the photo.

Maybe you should back of and show us the whole bridge from a distance.Also an odd person ot two crossing it would add impact .

I prefer the first and fourth variants, and in particular the first one. They both might benefit from showing a bit less of what's "below", and a bit more of the arch that's overhead.

I like the first one very much, the inclusion of the second bridge does add interest. Bridges can be diffucult to capture imo; they do have a personality, but it's hard to show that on film. I think you're headed in the right direction though. The last one is a bit too busy and a bit too dark (under the bridge) for my taste and the other two just don't seem to have a particular point of interest. I hope to see your second set of pictures though, I think you'll have a better idea of how to approach this type of pic. *smile*

I like the top one the most. It has great contrast, framed nicely, and I like the depth it has with the train tracks going out into the city. Might be nice to have some views of the spans in their entirety or at least close to it. Looking forward to more from you on this . . .

I really like the opposing perspectives in the first shot. Something about it makes you look at it for a bit longer than you might look at other pictures. The others, I don't really care for them.

I love them all! The 1st and 2nd are my favourite.the first one looked as if there are 2 photos combined together.(the Bridge on top and the railway below).
