    Unique!
I would love this picture more, if you had cropped out the figure to be honest.
The only circumstance I would appreciate the human, would be if the 2nd, out of focus faucet was also turned on, so I would get the feeling this person, was just causing some trouble. That would give me the feeling of innocence, and joy through the simplicity of everyday life.

    Great pic.

    Re: Shadow.

    Andrew, thanks.

Thanks for the honest input. That's exactly the kind of feedback I need to hear. Cropping the figure out was never an option to me. I appreciate hearing that someone finds that to me the better alternative.

Let me ask you this: you said "That would give me the feeling of innocence, and joy through the simplicity of everyday life." Do you feel this image as is carries a dark or threatening tone? I ask only because you say it would feel innocent if chnaged - I wondered what the current impression is.

    Thanks,
    Rick

No dark or threatening tones. More of a 3 chaptered story missing chapter 2.
I cannot connect the running faucet, to the figure. By turning the 2nd faucet on, a connection is made.

With the figure cropped out, it becomes a 1 chaptered story, with an open ending.
    Thanks for the kind words.

You know, I gotta tell ya- I really dig this picture. I never really noticed the figure until I read the other posts. My attention was held at the focal point. What made me stop was the frozen water droplets, and then the water that's oozing down the side of the concrete.
If I were to do anything to it, I'd try to squeeze a little more blue out of the sky to give it some more contrast with the warm tones, but it's not necessary. I think the contrast and color really make this picture work.

This is simply an amazing image! I really like this shot! I also didn't really notice the figure until other people mentioned it and it would look better if the figure were cropped out but still, I think this is a great photograph and very unique.

Just curious...Do you remember what your settings on the camera were for this?
