SF/Oakland Night shots

Here are some pictures I took last friday night, first time out taking night shots with my D70. The first one is looking from the Oakland side of the hills towards SF with the Bay Bridge in the middle, the second one is a fountain up in the hills in Oakland. The first shot was done using a Nikon 70-300G lens @300mm f/22 30sec, while the second one was with an older Sigma 24mm, f22 25 sec.

hello! i think the fountain is really amazing. how did u manage to get the water so alive but keep the background so clear? really fab picture.

I really like both of these shots. I think I like the first one better than the second but they are both to my liking. I wouldn’t change a thing about the first one. On the second one it looks like you might have started having some blowouts on the fountain lights and the fountain looks like it might not be completely level. Both are small issues in my mind and the second can easily be corrected.
