    Red Highlights

Here is a first light shot from the northern Arizona desert. Enjoy!

Have to say I prefer this image to the wonderful pano shot.
Beautiful light, colours. It has mystery and even a bit of eerieness too. The rock face background, and its bluish colour is perfect. Perfect colour compatibility.
    Unimpeachable.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Thanks, Tom! I too like this shot better than the Powell pano.

    Wonderful

Very nice! I love the lighting and the mysterious 3-D effect. One of the best I've seen. A unique view of an oft-photographed landscape.

Great shot. You really feel the depth here and the lighting is bang on! Great shooting,

Having just discovered your shots of the Arizona deserts...all I can say is...I'm getting very homesick...I grew up in those deserts and your shots highlight just how beautiful the deserts are.
Keep up the good work...your bringing a little bit of home to this snow bound desert rat...oh wait...it's June 1...it's not snowing here...but then again...it's not 100 degrees out either...hehe...
