    red barn

I know the sky is blown out on this image due to the setting sun just beyond the tree line, but I really like the colors in the barn. What are your thoughts and suggestions?

    Thanks for looking!

    Hello,

The colors of the barn are especially nice but my eyes get caught by the bright spot in the upper right corner where the trees are lit by the sun. It distract me from the main subject. In a perfect world, I would have liked to have some sun light directly on the barn but this is still a good capture I think.

    Hi Mjs1973

I like this photo , i was wondering if you would try it on a different time perhaps early in the morning , if it won't bring out that colors more ? If you could get the sun from a different angle ?

    Regards

I think this would be a great shot for dusk, with a little bit of fog... hehe wouldn't that be perfect?

I like the colours too, try in the morning.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. This is a spot that I will definetly go back to and reshoot, over and over again until I get it right. Getting shots like this, that are just OK in my eyes, are what drives me to keep at it until I get something that much better than just OK.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Mike,
The shot has a lot of potential. Did you shoot it digitally? If yes, you can digitially blend the normal exposed and the +1 exposed together from the RAW. It would help to bring out the detial of the foreground.

I did shoot this digitally, but in jpeg format. I haven't tried too much with RAW just yet, but I will soon.

    Re: red barn

The bushes and shrubs in the foreground are kind of distracting for the main subject
