    portrait-sort of

    dont usually take pictures of people, but just sort of saw this opportunity with a friend and decided to grab the shot.

    I love portraits like this and I shoot many of them myself when I travel abroad, in fact, I think they are becoming my favorite type of photography. It's a great shot but could have been a little better had you been standing at a slightly different location or from a higher or lower angle as to change the relation of his head to the background. I'd like to see his head either higher or lower so as not to meet the skyline and the dome popping out of his head is an added detractor. Again, otherwise a beautiful shot.

    thanks for the comment,

    with regard to the dome, i was trying to make it look like a bishops hat on his head..........not very successfully, by the looks of things.!

    I love the angle of this photo! The ruins in the backgorund nad the grey sky really make it! The only nit picky thing is that his head is conflicting with the building line in the background.
    Photos are memories that last a lifetime.
