    hi michael

being a fan of self portraits I had to look...very somber and moody feel to this shot--personally I like the darkness al around but I think I'd like to see the face a little more lit (it might be my monitor) but the face almost disappears into the darkness)

would love to see more of your stuff..

    Hi Michael

I also like the atmosphere of this shot, it reminds me of an old master (lets say Rembrandt) lit only by candle light. Unfortunately it just isn`t sharp enough or lit enough - It needs slightly more light to give it form as it is rather flat. It also looks like the camera has not correctly focused (difficult with the self timer I know) as your face is not really as sharp as it might be.

Hope you are getting on well with the Rebel!

    Clifford.
