    Mother's Recipe Box

A little manipulation, not much though. Comments and critique welcome.

There are a few things that worry me about the photo.

The good - I like the composition and it really does feel good in B&W.

The problem areas for me are:

The angle of the wall on the right, and left. The cropped page at the top is a minor nit pick and the thing that pokes in from the right at the bottom keeps distracting me from the tin.

If the tin was in sharper focus it might work better but then the slight out of foucs would work as well if it was not for the other problems in the photo. Is this scanned from a negative or picture which could be the problem.

    Dzerzhinski,
I like the subject and have no problem with the framing, I only feel that this suffers from poor lighting. The image looks flat. If you were to catch this scene with just a hint of light from a window or something else, it would improve alot. Good subject and b&w is right

Thank you for the replys. I didn't notice so much that it was out of focus. Here it is, crisper.
