An interesting house, Roger. I might crop off the yellow hose and to the right. Busy stuff there that pulls attention from the overall house. Maybe select the blue buckets and desaturate them as well.
Nice 'cottagy' feel.

Thanks for the comments and understand what you mean - I should have asked the owner if I could move them before taking the photo (next time!)
I did not like the crop so tried to zap the offending items - not very good at this yet but still trying to learn.

Nice subject. Where is this location? I was thinking the same thing As Carbonterry. I would have liked to see this from an angle that would place the chimmney against the sky and not in front of the tree. That chimmney against the sky, would be very pleasing to the eye. ( hey, I'm a poet)!!
One other thing that spoils the "countryside" feel of this photo is the sattellite dish on the right side. You might want to try cloning that out.
