    Re: Midnight Moon

This is a warm, pleasing exposure and is quite sharp for a low light shot. I find myself wishing the subject (the boat) was a little larger and more dominant in the image - do you think much would be lost losing the outer third of the image? And I would like the moon itself to have more clarity so it isn't mistaken for the sun...perhaps cloning in a moon from an image exposed just for the moon? I took a quick and dirty stab at a center ~2/3 crop and cloned in a not-so-ideal moon to give you an idea of what I'm thinking.

That is a cool shot, I agree with Ken on the boat though. Had it been a little bigger it would have been even better. Nicely done though

    Re: Midnight Moon

Ken, thanks for the tips. I'm not sure what to think of the crop. I kiinda like the sand taking up a third of the shot. I agree a bigger boat would've worked better. Maybe I should've zoomed in for some closer shots. but too late now, i'm back from that vacation. I hate puting in regular moons, because they never look natural. The moon's face would never show on a regular shot , it would just be rendered white, maybe with less of a halo but i don't think one would see the crators, and hence when a moon shot with crators are dropped in they always look unnatural and I kinda don't like that.

Thanks Josh. Yeah the small boat is definitely an issue here.

Armando, yeah the sand was amazing white. maybe some of the other shots were a bit warmer on the K level and had a bit of red in them. thank you.
