    Midnight Mass's

shot at one of our local casino's very late at night with wind chills at -44 ,camera was on the tripod set at aperature prioty, f13 with a 4 sec exposure and 62 mm focal length and white balance set at tungsten, out of 15 shots this one was the best ,i just cropped it a bit,the other ones had a couple of weird circles in the shot and some had car light trails,it got so cold that the tripod stuck to the ground and camera froze to the tripod , so i just drove away, hopefully tmmr it will thaw up and i'll retreive it later,( just kidding ) Its a Nikon, but seriously any pointers or problems that you see, that i could correct in the future, would be appreciated.

I like it but think if you could catch it without cars giving it a more surreal, isolated look it would help. Also try and shoot around the sign and avoid or clone the blurring flag. Persoanlly I would like to see it more shot from the left and a more dead on approach and I would like to see the sign on the building, but that's sort of my style. If you shoot RAW you can always customize the WB as needed in processing. I think you did very well here. The sky looks great and the building itself looks like a toy or model. Nice work.

The angle you shot from makes the building look tilted-easy to correct. The whole thing seems to lack a focal point for the viewer-there are lots of little details to look at but nothing to really capture your attention.

I'd say your exposure and white balance are almost perfect although the image doesn't say "Very Late at Night" to me.
    No, I DON'T need that.

greg- a frontal attack was alittle harder to do its a extra parking lot that is fenced in with good amount of security, and this casino runs almost 24 hours of the day and would really be hard pressed not to get cars parked in the front, and i would like to shoot raw,but currently have no program to convert it later, but thanks for the advise i'll take that into consideration on the next project.

Mb1- i think my main purpose was just to grab a very clear image at a late night setting, and being very cold out,i tried with my point and shoot camera and being limited to the f/stops, i returned with my nikon, as for late, you can clearly see the time on the tower that says 12:45 am, i would consider that quite late myself, thanks for the comments.
