    Make your own luck

We fought our way around Spa Francorchamps to our alloted grandstand, by which time my wife was worn out - it's not a disabled friendly track!

But by the grandstand there was somewhere for her to park, and for me to slide down bank to almost touching distance of the car.

I was trying to blur the fence and capture the car, but accidentally framed it in one of the holes in the fence. I like it enough to post it here to be shot at

I don't think the photo of Angie and the blurred car in the background works, unfortunately, because of the obstructive fencing effectively cutting the car in half.

Besides that, you can't tell it's a car. So all it's a picture of is the back of someone's head who seems to be waiting for something to happen to take a picture of.

What does intrigue me about that photo, though, is that person off to the right of her head with their hands in their ears. That would have been a neat picture if you had gotten a shot of that person in the foreground with a zooming car in the background.

I love the first shot, how the car is framed like that! I'll bet you could crop it a bit to make it even stronger. Maybe something like this, although this is by no means the last word.

    Thanks !

The photo of my wife was a snapshot, I agree it doesn't work. I didn't have much time (it was the end of the practice session) and was more worried about getting her up the 1:10 hill behind. Otherwise I'd have been looking for crowd shots, there were good ones to be found I'm sure.

I definitely could get a better crop from the full image, thanks for that.
I wanted to get comments first, then try my hand at editing that picture.

    thanks again for your comments.
