    Lonely

I shot this in a room in an abandoned Mental Institution.
    Comments appreciated.

Please view the rest of my images from the Institution and tell me what you think

i think it would be cool if you took 2 picture, one like that and one with a guy sitting in the chair, like this: http://www.thinkingmantavern.com/man1.jpg
and then you used photoshop to put the opacity of the man at like 25%... SCARY AHAH

better yet, have both his hands wrapped around the side of his head like hes hearing things..

Very nice. I enjoyed many of your other photos as well. You have a good eye for detail and a nice photojournalistic style.

    What a cool subject...

...obviously took some bravery to even go in there, if you ask me.

The shots that really bring out the idea of such places to me, are "Going Downstairs" and "In the tunnel". Those two images, because of the way they're lit, composed and the textures that come through, bring some real emotion to me as viewer. Makes me feel how confining and frightening such a place would've been while it was running. Mental hospitals are notorious for the way they mistreat and misdiagnose patients, especially prior to this more modern era of psychology... these shots sort of bring those ideas to life. At least for me. Someone else could get something completely different from it too.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look at my gallery and for the nice comments.
This was my first project like this and I'm still struggling to learn my new camera.
The D70 has a real learning curve, but I think I'm finally getting the hang of a few things.

    Thanks again

Good shot and so are your others ones and enjoyed watching the gallery.

Only advice I would like to give; avoid shooting too much top-down, remember the knees ;)
