This is a very strong documentary shot. Such a dichotomy between the street level shops and the hardworn facade above. I hope, for the sake of the residents, that the internal maintenence is better than the external. It's interesting that some residents have painted the facade as far above and below their windows as they can reach.
So much to look at and think about - I know I'll be returning to this shot.

Great shot Yoyo. What definately works for this shot is the vivid color and then the almost 'boring' grayness and the blandess of the apartments. As Chunk pointed out, the it is a very strong documentary shot. Great composition also.

    Great shot!

I like looking at this because there is a lot for the eye to scan over :the small details like air conditioners, clothes drying, the different style windows and then you look down the full height to the ground and browse the shop windows. The shop lighting adds lovely contrast and the people give it all a sense of scale.
Nice and simple and it works very well.

Very good spotting this contrast of style in the same structure. Amazing how dismal and unkept the exterior looks to the parts that are not about attracting customers, but when its's about buisness, then cars goes into creating an attractive environment. great framing and very interesting shot. As Chunk noted, it's peculiar how there is an obvious attempt at painting the building by each resident. ( I think if they all got together and used sticks and rollers, they could accomplish the job. . . .but please use the same color)

Hello Yoyo, This shot is well seen and well composed. In fact, you makes this building look almost attractive which is quite something. This major lack of maintenance makes for interesting textures and colors shade.

    regards

I've enjoyed your cityscapes and this one is no exception. Nicely seen and rendered. It's nice to discover all the wonderful details in the image. Also, the people add a great reference/perspective to the whole scene.

    Nice job.

Nice shot YoYo. Nicely put together. The idea & the execution are right on.

I would suggest cropping a floor or two from the top as it might lessen the distance the eye has to travel around the image to get to your main point.
