    How bad is this one?

Tok this picture in a hurry:

It's a museum square in Vienna. Post processing in Photoshop. But I guess it's on the dark side. But it looks washed when the blacks are no so strong, in my opinion.

What do you think? And how do I attach the picture to this message??

I like the shot, very well done. The blacks are a little strong, especially near the black where it seems to get a tad busy, but I think it works. Nice strong framing too. To add a picture all you do is this use the image tags [img] URL [/img].

I agree with you that perhaps the blacks are on the dark side. It can be bad judgement when using the curves in Photoshop, or - even worse - bad monitor calibration. Nevertheless I will try not to abuse of curves that much, even if I do like the extreme blacks...

    Thanks again mate ;)

Erich, welcome. I like the framing and although it may be a bit contrasty, i think it is fine. nice shot, and good use of vertical framing.

This is a good image. The worst problem is the stairs and windows of the building went dark along with the rest of your adjustments! Probably need to select areas and change the contrast selectively or via masking. The dark verticals poles and the one window really work but the stairs need some detail restored.

The bicycles and rack almost seem extraneous?

Other than that, the touch of green works, but you might try it as all b/w.

    Thanks for showing !

Welcome and I think the shot is pretty good. I would have liked it a little more without the people but that is a personal preference.

BTW..I love Vienna in the spring!! Such a lovely place to be and just soak in the culture.

    Regards

    Hello Erich,

I too think that your picture is too contrasty but I really enjoy the composition. The little touch of color is neat. I believe that you did this in an appropriate way.
