My only critique would be the bit of ghosting on #2. I'd imagine that people are hard to get multiple exposures of. w/o any movement.

The first picture is beautiful and of an extremely high quality. Great lines, great colour and light and simple.
The second shot is such fun and you lot must have a wonderful time together as you move around and find wonderful sites.

Thanks fellas............setup as is the norm either a 1Dmkiii or as on this occasion a 5dmkii, 17-40L on tripod with remote shutter release.

5 exposures bracketed +-1EV from an average of the scene, use the FEL button on the 1D to take 3-4 exposure reading around the scene and let the camera work out the average. Spot meter for whenever there is someone in the scene or matrix for anything else, Aperture Priority, ISO 100 and normally always at f/8 for a scene like the above.

Very impressive! I really like the colors, composition and the detail in these. That first one could be a painting, Jeff

The detail in the first one is incredible,

second one looks like a lot of fun , a bit of bright reflections on the purple coat of the guy in the middle, along with a blurry hand/bag

Both images are great here, but as mentioned already that first of the staircase is wonderfully refined and ,well, the location is fantastic. I have seen this same staircase on flickr from a few others and I'm thinking its probably the crew you toured with...6 countries 19 locations..etc.? andre govia, shexbeer, silvercube?. Also saw the room with the slab you nailed for the Antidote shot,
    Really fine work,.

Yes, I'm getting the Flickr "Image Unavailable" message, too. I'm actually trying to set up the Featured Photos for the week and this makes it impossible. This is a strong argument for uploading any images you want to share here to the PhotographyREVIEW.com forums / gallery.

Can you please tell us more? What do you like about the compositions and why? This is a serious critique forum and the more detail you can offer, the better. Consider also that the effort of analyzing and articulating your thoughts and feeings about the photos will help *your* photography as well. So do yourself and the photographer a favor and tell them what you like, what you don't like and why.

    Thanks for contributing

Thanks. I fixed the top one. For whatever reason, the image URLs were different. Something must have changed on the Flickr end. The post was probably cached on your browser. That would explain why you could still see them. Thanks for fixing them and congratualtions on getting the Featured Photo

critique means to scrutinize. obviously if something is right on. there will hardly be anything to scrutinize. what's right with it? everything, can't find a fault. i thought that went without saying. when something is pretty much perfect, means everything is pretty much right on.
