Holland Sailboat: A Problem with Perspective

Alright, took this one last week with a 70-300mm lens at 210mm. Are you folks seeing the same perspective problem I am? Seems to me that the lake has a curve to it. I tried some stuff in PSP (both barrel and pincushion lens correction, as well as vertical and horizontal perspective shift) but didn't come up with anything. Anyone have advice on this one? Is the prespective thing even affect the photo that much? I've got PSP and Photoshop Elements.

    optical illusion

I took a look at this in photoshop and pulled a guide down and was able to square it with each side of the photo. All looks level to me.

    Nice photo, by the way.

    Thanks
Maybe I'm just seeing the horizon wrong--sorta hard to tell with how horizon blends with sky. I stuck a straight line on the image for reference

I think it's optical illusion between the bright area seeming more immediate and the slanting of the the mast fooling the eye into thinking the horizon goes uphill a little.

    Beautiful shot.

I'd put the perspective concern under the category of things photographers would notice, but not nine out of ten people who might look at your photo. You could probably even out with the clone took if you did it carefully. It is a nice photo in any event.

Here's the kind of optical illusion I'm talking about.

I think it's a lot more subtle in your photo.
